News about the old: 23rd International Symposium on Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds in Münster, September 2011

In six plenary lectures, 91 lectures and over 110 posters, the broad area of the PAC was discussed with 200 guests from 34 countries. The invited guests specified the thematic variety, it varied from PAC in space (Douglas M. Hudgins, Washington) to the epidemiological evidence for the carcinogenicity of PAC (Manolis Kogevinas, Barcelona) and the synthesis of very large PAHs from graphene-like molecules (Klaus Müllen, Mainz) to PAC in environmental forensic analysis (Scott Stout, Boston). In addition, this year's ISPAC Research Award was presented to Jocelyn Hellou (Halifax, Canada), who thanked them with a lecture on PAC in the marine environment.

Annual conference "Environment 2010 - From knowledge to decision" from September 6th to 9th, 2010 in Dessau-Roßlau
