Award regulations

§1 The Board of the Division of the nuclear chemistry division decides to award a Division Award under the name " nuclear chemistry Division Award ".

§2 The prize is awarded to dedicated postdoctoral scientists who, up to eight years after receiving their doctorate, have distinguished themselves through outstanding, independent scientific work in the field of nuclear chemistry and have achieved international visibility in the research field. Furthermore, achievements in teaching, special support of young researchers with measurable success, popular science communication, or innovation are also recognized.

§3 The prize can generally be awarded every four years.

§4 All university professors and industry representatives with related responsibilities, as well as the doctoral-level members of the Division, are entitled to nominate candidates. Self-nominations are not permitted. The selection is made by the board and advisory board members of the Division by simple majority vote. In the event of a tie, the vote of the specialist group chair is decisive.

§5 Applications must be submitted electronically to the GDCh Office .

The following should be included with the proposal:

● a detailed justification of the award's worthiness by the nominator
● a detailed CV
● a list of independent scientific publications
● and/or evidence of special achievements in teaching, support of young researchers and/or science communication

§6 The prize includes a certificate of award detailing the merits of the recipient and prize money of 1500 euros.

§7 The awardee reports on the award-winning work in the context of an invited lecture at the Division conference.

§8 Amendments to these statutes are only possible with a 2/3 majority of the Divisions board.
