The Wöhler Association for Inorganic Chemistry of the GDCh is again announcing the Wöhler PhD Award Prize for Inorganic Chemistry to be awarded in 2023.

The prize is awarded to young scientists of any nationality in recognition of special scientific achievements for an excellent doctorate completed in Germany. The dissertation, which touches on the scientific field represented in the Division , was completed in 2022, including the disputation. Only self-applications will be considered. These must include a declaration of the exceptional quality of the doctoral thesis, which stands out due to its innovative character and its particular relevance for the future and the further development of the subject.

A jury made up of representatives from universities and industry and appointed by the Board of directors of the Wöhler Association decides on the selection.
