Scholarship program of the GDCh Division of Electrochemistry

The Division of Electrochemistry of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) promotes the participation of young scientists in national and international Conferences by awarding travel grants.

The Division is offering a limited number of travel grants of up to €500 each to attend the Electrochemistry Division conference 2026. Active participation in the conference, including a poster or lecture, is required. Applications for one of these grants can be submitted by email to Maike Fries (GDCh Office) by September 1, 2026, using the subject line " Conference Grant Electrochemistry 2026 ". A maximum of two grants will be awarded per working group . The complete application documents include the following:

 

• Completed application form,
• Confirmation of acceptance of the conference contribution (poster/ lecture)
• Proof of registration for the Conference.

The Division of Electrochemistry is awarding a limited number of travel grants for 2026 to participate in freely selectable Conferences.

General conditions:

 

• Target group: Students up to and including doctoral studies
• Prerequisite: active participation in the event, i.e., with a lecture or poster presentation on a topic in electrochemistry.
• Award procedure: maximum 2 scholarships per person and calendar year
• Maximum funding amounts: 400 euros (national Conference), 500 euros (Europe) or 600 euros (outside Europe)
• All scholarship recipients are requested to mention the funding provided by the GDCh Division of Electrochemistry in their lecture or on their poster.

Applications for scholarships can be submitted by email to Dr. Lisa Pecher (GDCh Office) with the subject line " Conference Scholarship Electrochemistry" no later than three weeks before the start of the event. Each application must include the following documents, compiled into a single PDF:

 

• Completed application form,
• Abstract of the conference paper,
• Confirmation of acceptance of the conference paper,
• Proof of registration for the Conference.
