Scholarship program of the GDCh Division of Macromolecular Chemistry

The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) promotes the participation of young scientists in national and international Conferences, seminars or workshops by awarding travel grants. General conditions:

     

  • Target group: Students
  • Prerequisite: active participation in the event, i.e. presentation of a lecture or poster
  • Funding amounts: Individual decision (approx. 250 euros for events in Europe)
  • Funding for a maximum of two people per university working group per year ("first come, first serve").
  • All events have a clear connection to macromolecular chemistry and the respective research work.
  • The approval depends on the financial status of the Division. There is no entitlement to funding.

1. Conference grants for selected events

Participation in selected events (e.g. the MAKRO Division conference ) is particularly encouraged by the Division of Macromolecular Chemistry through the awarding of individually advertised scholarships.

There are currently no scholarships available for selected Conferences .

2. Scholarships for freely selectable events

The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry awards a limited number of scholarships for freely selectable events. These scholarships can be applied for by email to Dr. Carina S. Kniep (GDCh Office) using the keyword " macromolecular chemistry Conference Scholarship" no later than three weeks before the start of the event. The complete application includes the following documents:

     

  • completed application form,
  • short justification (max. 1 page) including estimate of travel/accommodation costs and details of the participation fee,
  • Abstract of the conference paper,
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the conference fee,
  • Proof of registration for the Conference.
