Scholarship program of the GDCh Division of Biochemistry

The Division of Biochemistry of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) supports the activities of young scientists with various scholarship opportunities. Younger members of the specialist group should be able to obtain financial support for actively attending national and international Conferences, seminars or workshops as part of their training through conference grants. General conditions:

 

• Target group: PhD students, postdocs,
• Prerequisite: active participation in the event, i.e. presentation of a lecture or poster,
• Promotion of participation in a national or an international Conference per person and year,
• All events should have a clear connection to biochemistry and their own research work.

Active participation in selected national events (e.g. "Biochemistry" Division conference ) is particularly encouraged by the Division of Biochemistry by awarding individually advertised scholarships.

In order to enable young department members (MSc, PhD) to actively participate (i.e. with poster or lecture presentations) in Biochemistry 2024, the Division of Biochemistry is awarding a limited number of travel scholarships of a maximum of 250 euros each. Scholarships can be applied for no later than 3 weeks before the start of the Conference by email to Maike Fries (GDCh Office) using the keyword “ Conference Scholarship Biochemistry 2024 ”. • completed application form,
• Confirmation of acceptance of the conference contribution,
• Proof of registration for the Conference.
