Scholarship program of the GDCh Division of Coating Chemistry

The Division of Coating Chemistry of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) also supports the activities of young scientists financially. Younger members of the specialist group are to be given the opportunity to take part in selected Conferences, seminars or workshops as part of their training (e.g. paint conference and summer school of the Division).

In order to enable young specialist group members (students) to take part in the summer school and the paint conference, the Division of Coating Chemistry provides financial support to a limited number of people:

 

• The students send a (collective) letter of endorsement from their academic supervisor including the names, university addresses and email addresses of the respective students by April 21, 2024 under the keyword "Lacktagung 2024" by email to Maike Fries (GDCh Office).
• The Division supports up to 20 students with a maximum of 225 euros each. The funding will be confirmed upon receipt of the documents (see above).
• After the conference, students send the completed and signed GDCh travel expense form and the original receipts to Maike Fries.
• Travel costs (DB 2nd class, but also mileage money if, for example, groups of four go on a car trip; solo trips by car cannot be reimbursed) and accommodation costs can be reimbursed. The refund will be made by bank transfer.
