Scholarship program of the GDCh Division of Magnetic Resonance

The Division of Magnetic Resonance of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) supports the activities of young scientists by awarding scholarships. The aim is to give young specialist group members the opportunity to explore opportunities to attend national and international Conferences, seminars or workshops as part of their training.

1. Conference scholarships for selected events

The active participation (poster/ lecture) of student specialist group members in selected conferences is particularly encouraged by the Division of Magnetic Resonance by awarding individually advertised scholarships.

45th FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting (09.-12.09.2024; Rostock)

The Division of Magnetic Resonance awards a limited number of scholarships of a maximum of 350 euros to student group members who give a lecture or present a poster at the 45th FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting. Scholarships can be applied for up to 3 weeks before the start of the event by email to Maike Fries (GDCh Office) using the keyword “Conference Scholarship FGMR 2024”. The complete documents include the following documents:

     

  • Completed application form,
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the conference contribution,
  • Proof of registration for the Conference.

2. Conference scholarships for freely selectable events

Starting on July 1, 2023 and initially until the end of 2024, the Division is offering its young members a limited number of travel scholarships for active participation in freely selectable Conferences until they complete their doctorate. General conditions:

     

  • Active participation (poster/ lecture) in a national or international specialist event whose content is linked to the topics of the Division .
  • Maximum grant: 350 euros per scholarship
  • Awarding of a maximum of 5 scholarships for the same event (“first come, first serve”)
  • Awarding of a maximum of 1 scholarship per working group and person per calendar year ("first come, first serve")
  • The scholarship pot is limited and applies to half a year (2nd half of 2023, 1st half of 2024, 2nd half of 2024). There is no entitlement to funding.

General conference scholarships can be requested by email with the subject “ Conference Scholarship Magnetic Resonance” no later than 3 weeks before the start of the event to Dr. Carina S. Kniep (GDCh Office). Each application includes the following documents:

     

  • Completed application form,
  • Abstract of the conference contribution,
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the conference contribution
  • Proof of registration for the Conference.
