Meeting Award of the GDCh Division of Biochemistry

In 2026, the GDCh Division of Biochemistry will present up to ten Meeting Awards for the first time to support the participation of students and doctoral candidates in its Biochemistry Conference. Applications can be submitted in the form of an abstract for a conference paper. Each award comes with a cash prize of 500 euros and a one-year, free membership in the Division. The award will be decided by an awards committee appointed by the Division Board .

Objective
The Division of Biochemistry of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) will award up to ten Meeting Awards in 2026 to support the participation of undergraduate and graduate students in its GDCh Biochemistry 2026 conference, which will take place in Würzburg from March 16 to 18, 2026. Applications can be submitted in the form of an abstract for a conference presentation (poster or lecture).

The price
Each award includes prize money of €500 and a one-year, free membership in the Division. The awardee will be invited to present their award-winning work, either as a poster or in a short presentation, at the GDCh Biochemistry 2026 Division conference , which will take place in Würzburg. The Division will cover the registration fee for conference participation. A prize committee appointed by the Division Board will decide on the awarding of the prizes.
