Honorary membership in the GDCh Division for coatings chemistry can be awarded in recognition of a very high level of commitment to the coatings industry, to research and/or to the GDCh Division of Coating Chemistry .

Since 2009, the Division of Coating Chemistry has awarded the Conference Award for the two best presentations at the Division conference, which normally takes place annually.
