Since 1947, our Division – today Paint and coating chemistry, formerly coating chemistry or APi – has stood for scientific exchange on all aspects of paints, coatings, and their raw materials. As part of the GDCh (German Chemical Society), we connect around 400 members from research, development, and application.

Our commitment to the industry

 

• We promote the scientific understanding of paints, varnishes and their raw materials.
• We are strengthening the interdisciplinary exchange between academia and industry.
• We connect young scientists with experienced professionals.
• We design platforms for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
• We cooperate with other GDCh Divisions as well as our European sister organizations such as FATIPEC.
