Chemistry experiments ignite

The brochure “ Igniting Chemistry Experiments – Enthusiasm, Insights, Responsibility, Careers” is a birthday present to all SEC members on the 20th anniversary of the SEC Division . The idea originated with Petra Schultheiß-Reimann. No fewer than 27 authors explore questions such as “How did I get into chemistry?” or “What was my first experiment?” The first chapter is dedicated to the special significance of chemistry experiments. At the end, Petra interviews Nobel laureate Benjamin List. Another chapter quotes the renowned chemists Gerhard Ertl, Horst Kessler, and Günther Meyer from the series “ Lives in Chemistry.” The concluding chapter by Petra Schultheiß-Reimann revisits the importance of experimentation as a catalyst for enthusiasm for chemistry.
