The senior experts go on excursions together. At these events - preferably a mixture of culture and chemistry - the focus is not only on discovering new horizons, but also on social contact for seniors. In addition to the seniors from the GDCh, the seniors from the VAA, Hanau-Wolfgang factory group, usually also take part in these excursions.
This first excursion on May 23, 2007 was organized by Holger Bengs; All other tours were organized by Wolfgang Gerhartz, partly with strong support from Eva Wille, Klaus-Peter Jäckel and Hans-Uwe von Grabowski.
- The 13th SEC Technology Tour took us to Weinheim an der Bergstrasse on February 22, 2024 to the company Freudenberg SE.
- During the 12th SEC Technology Tour (September 27-29, 2022) we had the opportunity to visit the food testing institute in Oldenurg.
- The 11th SEC Technology Tour went to Duderstadt im Eichsfeld (city tour) and to Deuna (tour of B+T's plastics processing and Dyckerhoff's cement plant) on September 12th and 13th, 2021.
- The 10th SEC Technology Tour took us to the flat steelworks in Salzgitter and the old town of Brauschweig (30 Sep-1 Oct 19).
- The August Köhler SE paper factory in Oberkirch was on the program of the 9th SEC Technology Tour on September 7, 2018.
- The 8th SEC Technology Tour led to the Deutsche Amphibolinwerke DAW SE in Ober-Ramstadt on October 4, 2017.
- The fantastic library and the award-winning Leica Camera AG building in Wetzlar were the destinations of the 7th SEC Technology Tour. on November 24, 2015.
- The 6th SEC Technology Tour also led to Darmstadt, the Hessian State Museum and the Society for Heavy Ion Research (GSI) in Wixhausen.
- During the 5th SEC Technology Tour on November 14, 2013 in Darmstadt, the Hundertwasser House was visited and then the Merck company (focus on OLED).
- The 4th SEC Technology Tour started on August 26, 2011 to Erbach in the Odenwald (Einhard's Basilica in Steinbach and city tour) and finally to the Koziol company.
- The 3rd SEC Technology Tour took place on August 30, 2010 in Darmstadt to visit the ESOC (Europe's Gateway to Space) and the Art Nouveau villas on the Mathildenhöhe.
- On June 16, 2009, the 2nd SEC Technology Tour went to Zwingenberg an der Bergstrasse to visit BRAIN AG.
- A tour of the Höchst Industrial Park and the Sanofi-Aventis laboratories on May 23, 2007, the 1st SEC Technology Tour, kicked off.
