The course is aimed at technical staff with little or no previous NMR knowledge as well as staff and doctoral students who want to refresh previous NMR knowledge. Participants will become familiar with the most important NMR spectral parameters and their relationship to chemical structures. The basic knowledge of the structural analysis of 1H and 13C NMR spectra is conveyed in practical exercises with the aim of independently verifying simple structures.
NMR spectroscopy is one of the most important and versatile analytical techniques for characterizing molecular systems and is almost indispensable, especially in preparative chemistry. The course aims to provide a basic understanding of how modern digital NMR spectrometers work and enable participants to perform common NMR experiments and adjust important parameters if necessary. In addition, simple conversion and maintenance measures are discussed.
