ADUC-Young Talent Award

As part of the Chemiedozententagung , the ADUC awards the ADUC Young Researcher Prize to up to three young researchers (postdoctoral qualification, junior professorship, scholarship or tenure track) who are aiming for permanent employment in the German scientific landscape for establishing an independent research area in chemistry. The award is accompanied by a certificate, a book prize and prize money of 4,000 euros each. Nominations and self-nominations should be made no later than eight years after the end of the doctorate and before taking up a permanent/unlimited professorship. The establishment of the independent research area must be demonstrated by publications in relevant scientific journals .

Zielsetzung
Die ADUC zeichnet jedes Jahr bis zu drei Personen des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses (Habilitation, Juniorprofessur, Stipendium oder Tenure Track), für die Etablierung eines eigenständigen Forschungsgebietes aus – nachzuweisen durch mindestens drei repräsentative, eigenständige Publikationen in einschlägigen wissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschriften.

Der Preis
Jeder ADUC-Nachwuchspreis ist mit einer Verleihungsurkunde, einem Preisgeld in Höhe von 4000 Euro und einem ausgewählten Buchpreis verbunden. Die Preise werden anlässlich der Chemiedozententagung 2025 verliehen, die vom 17.-19. März 2025 in Braunschweig stattfindet. Die Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger werden eingeladen, ihre Arbeiten im Rahmen eines Kurzvortrags vorzustellen. Die Kosten für die Teilnahme trägt die ADUC.

Nominierung/Selbstnominierung
Nominierungen können durch Universitätsprofessorinnen und -professoren erfolgen, aber auch Selbstnominierungen sind möglich. Die Einreichung sollte maximal acht Jahre nach Abschluss der Promotion und muss vor Antritt einer permanenten/ unbefristeten Professur erfolgen. Die vorzulegenden Publikationen zeichnen sich durch Originalität und wissenschaftliche Exzellenz aus. Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten sollten eine dauerhafte Tätigkeit in der deutschen Wissenschaftslandschaft anstreben und haben idealerweise bereits an vorherigen Chemiedozententagungen teilgenommen. Alle Einreichungen enthalten folgende Unterlagen:

Begründung der Nominierung (ca. 2 Seiten) bzw. der Selbstnominierung (max. 1 Seite),
unabhängiges Vorschlagsgutachten (nur im Falle von Selbstnominierungen),
Kurz-CV (max. 2 Seiten; inklusive Mailadresse),
vollständige Publikationsliste,
kurzer Überblick über die Dissertation und die Tätigkeit als Postdoc (max. je 1 Seite) sowie
drei repräsentative Publikationen zum eigenständigen Forschungsgebiet
