Study guide the chemistry of construction materials

Study the chemistry of construction materials (PDF)

Foreword to the 2nd edition (2011)

The now "study guide the chemistry of construction materials" of the Division of the Chemistry of Construction Materials the German Chemical Society has been completely redesigned and includes in the new edition of 2011 an update on the universities of all study sites, which deal with the subject the chemistry of construction materials. The readers and especially the future students are provided with a study guide that contains all current teaching content and study options for the field of the chemistry of construction materials in Germany. The close connection to the application in everyday life could convince some students to start a degree in building chemistry.

As part of a survey, lecturers at colleges and universities across Germany from the fields of civil engineering, mineralogy and chemistry were asked about their offerings in the field of "the chemistry of construction materials". The information in the study guide is the result of the evaluation of the returned questionnaires, which had been received by the editorial deadline at the end of September 2011. This study guide will be supplemented in the future.

The PDF format was again chosen as the form of publication. The study guide has been edited in such a way that the homepage of the departments at the universities can be visited directly by clicking on the URL in blue. If you have any questions about individual university locations or courses of study, you can also contact the respective contact persons who are listed as contact details on the page.

In this way, we ask the readers at the universities for their active assistance in further updating the study guide. If you offer lectures in the field of the chemistry of construction materials and have not yet been able to present yourself in the study guide, please contact us!
