Workshop about Publishing

Opening the Editor's Black Box: Insider Tips for Successful Submissions

?Publish or perish? is something that gets drilled into academics from the moment they start doing research. Everybody knows that in order to publish in a leading journal, one needs to do good science. However, there is more to getting your manuscript into the journal of your choice than that. The aim of this workshop is to show you how to present your work to maximize your chance for external peer review. Topics to be covered include:

  • How are manuscripts processed from submission to publication?
  • How do I improve the visibility of my research?
  • How do I simplify my writing and improve the presentation of my results?
  • How to write a cover letter?

These and other questions will be addressed by Editors of Angewandte Chemie and other Wiley-VCH journals in this workshop. Participants will receive a certificate, so please register for the GDCh Campus Event and the workshop.
