After a short presentation on the strong partnership between GDCh and Wiley-VCH by Nathalie Weickgenannt, Executive Editor of Angewandte Chemie, Greta Heydenrych, Editor of ChemPhysChem, will share insider tips for successful submissions in a workshop that is specifically tailored to the needs of master and PhD students and postdocs.

Publishing papers in reputed journals is an integral part of the research cycle. In this workshop, we will open the Editor's black box by giving tips on how to prepare your manuscript for submission and improve your chances for successful publication. Topics to be covered include:

Curriculum Vitae by Greta Heydenrych

PhD in chemistry in 2005 at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) with Jan Dillen and Helgard Raubenheimer. Post-docs with Len Barbour (Stellenbosch University) and Gernot Frenking (Philipps University Marburg). Since 2007 at Wiley-VCH in the editorial department of ChemPhysChem, since 2011 editor-in-chief of ChemPhysChem. Since 2014 editor-in-chief of ChemElectroChem and since 2016 editor-in-chief of ChemPhotoChem.

Nathalie Weick's curriculum vitae

Nathalie Weickgenannt studied chemistry at the University of Oxford, completing her MChem degree with research into chiral fluorinating reagents in the group of Véronique Gouverneur. She then obtained her PhD in the field of organocatalysis under the supervision of Frank Glorius (WWU Münster). She joined Angewandte Chemie in 2013 and was promoted to Executive Editor of the journal in 2020. On the executive committee, she is responsible for the scientific and editorial content of the journal and for peer review and editorial decision-making.
