working group 9 - Websites

status quo

The SEC website provides information about all of the SEC's activities and services. It reflects our interests and encourages visitors to get involved with the SEC. The SEC website also serves as an archive.

Due to current events, necessary changes are made almost daily. Changes and corrections are always discussed with the persons responsible for the activity in question, and, if necessary, with the SEC board.

Goals

  • The primary goal for SEC websites is their up-to-dateness and attractiveness.
  • Regular monitoring of visitor numbers
  • continuously ensure a steady supply of new talent

Planned projects

One focus in 2026 will be to adapt the SEC websites to the SEC flyer and the new structure of the working groups.

Furthermore, the GDCh is expected to switch from the Typo3 content Management system (CMS) to a different system in 2026. The individuals responsible for the SEC website will participate in training for the new system.

Members of the working group

Speakers: Wolfgang Gerhartz, Thomas Mühlenbernd

Collaboration with GDCh Divisions

  • Links on the SEC website to activities of other GDCh Divisions are welcome.
  • Furthermore: The globally accessible information on our websites must always be coordinated with the GDCh's public relations (Dr. Karin Schmitz, Maren Mielck). Close cooperation with the GDCh's digitization team is necessary (Maximilian Bräutigam, Alexander Lorey).
