The GDCh Graduation Award award is an award from the GDCh for graduates of chemistry-related training courses such as chemical-technical assistants (CTA), chemical laboratory assistants or chemical engineering technicians. Graduates from neighboring disciplines such as PTA and BTA can also receive the prize. The prize is intended to strengthen interest in chemistry among the best students.

Each school may award one awardee per year and has the right to offer two other graduates who are worthy of an award free one-year membership in the GDCh.

The GDCh has been awarding the GDCh Graduation Award since 2007, after the society opened up to everyone interested in chemistry in October 2006, regardless of their level of training.

Last year, 40 schools participated in the awarding of the coveted award and 93 awardees were honored at graduation ceremonies.

The GDCh Graduation Award award currently consists of

 

• one certificate
• a book (only possible for one awardee)
• one knockout free GDCh membership for one year (on request)
• a free membership in the Working Group Vocational Education for one year (on request)*
  
  *Membership in the Working Group Vocational Education is only possible with simultaneous membership in the GDCh.
