On December 10, 2024 at 4:00 p.m., the Meyer-Galow Foundation for Industrial Chemistry will present Dr. Ruth Bieringer, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, with the Meyer-Galow Award for Business Chemistry 2024.

She is being honored for the development and market launch of high-temperature-resistant materials for electromobility. Ms. Bieringer is thus making a decisive contribution to the safety of modern lithium-ion batteries (LIB) and enabling sensitive components to be protected from overheating using the Quantix® ULTRA material. Dr. Bieringer played a key role in leading the development, promoting collaboration between interdisciplinary teams and taking the lead in the commercialization of the material families. Thanks to her initiative and innovative strength, these materials have now been introduced to the market and have great potential for future applications.
