Competence Center Women in Science and Research (CEWS)

The Center of Excellence Women and Science (CEWS) was opened at the University of Bonn in 2000. It sees itself as a knowledge and research-based service facility that is available to scientists, universities, research institutions, scientific organizations and political bodies with their services. The CEWS works for the realization of equal opportunities for women and men in science and research in Germany. For this policy field, the CEWS provides food for thought, initiates change processes that it accompanies scientifically, and actively shapes the necessary transfer processes between science and politics.
