To live abroad and be successful professionally, knowledge of the local culture and intercultural competence are crucial.

In this course, participants learn the basics of intercultural collaboration to promote personal development and understand international best practices.

The aim of this course is to optimize individual intercultural competence so that participants can reflect on intercultural differences and develop their own strategies for navigating multilingual contexts. The course offers practical exercises and opportunities for exchanging experiences and addressing individual questions to facilitate the transition to international professional life.

German Master's students, doctoral candidates and postdocs who wish to work abroad.

Speaker

Marie-Julie Jacquemot is a French political scientist working in the field of European and international cooperation. She has extensive experience in European project management, research, and higher education. She is a freelance consultant and trainer for intercultural competence, certified by the International DAAD Academy.

The registration deadline is four weeks before the event. If places are still available after this date, interested parties can still register.

The seminar will take place if the minimum number of participants is reached. A final decision regarding whether the seminar will proceed will be made four weeks prior to the event date. If you would like to book travel, hotel, etc., before this date, please call us. We can then tell you how many participants have already registered and whether the seminar is likely to take place. If a seminar has to be cancelled, all registered participants will be notified four weeks before the scheduled date. Any fees already paid will, of course, be refunded.
