Welcome to the German Chemical Society, the German Chemical Society (GDCh)

The German Chemical Society (GDCh) is the largest chemical society in continental Europe with members from academe, education, industry and other areas. The GDCh supports chemistry in teaching, research and application and promotes the understanding of chemistry in the public. The society, a registered charity, was founded in 1949 but builds on a long tradition that began in 1867 when its first predecessor organization, the Deutsche Chemische Gesellschaft was founded in Berlin.
The internet presence of the GDCh has been recently relaunched. As of today only the German version is available.
