3rd Specialist Group Day for sustainable chemistry (March 1, 2024; Marl)

For the third time, the Division of Sustainable Chemistry organized the sustainable chemistry specialist group day together with the JCF Sustainability team - this time at the kind invitation of Evonik in Marl.

The program included a warm-up at dinner the evening before, specialist lectures and a tour of the Evonik site.

2nd Specialist Group Day for sustainable chemistry (September 29, 2023; Ludwigshafen)

The Division of Sustainable Chemistry , together with the JCF Sustainability Team, organized the “ sustainable chemistry Specialist Group Day” for the second time - this time at BASF in Ludwigshafen.

There was a full program with a social event to get to know each other the evening before, specialist lectures by Prof. Herres-Pawlis (Bioinorganic Chemistry, RWTH Aachen University) and Dr. Seidensticker (technical chemistry, TU Dortmund University) and a tour of the BASF site. Participants were able to present their own sustainable research if they wished.

There was an interesting program for the participants with a social event to get to know each other the evening before, lectures by Prof. Regina Palkovits (RWTH Aachen University & Chair of the Division) and Prof. Siegfried Waldvogel (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz & deputy Chair) as well as a guided tour the Covestro site. Participants were able to present their own sustainable research if they wished.
