Young environmental chemistry & Ecotoxicology

jUCÖT - Young environmental chemistry & Ecotoxicology

The Young environmental chemistry & Ecotoxicology (founded in April 2021) represents the interests of the young members of the Division. It supports them in networking on a common platform. It works closely with the Board of the Division , sends a member of its own board to the meetings of the specialist group board and is actively involved in the work of the specialist group, for example in the planning and organization of Conferences and awards. One of the core tasks of the jUCÖT is the organization of national events, such as the annual Young environmental chemistry Forum (JUF) and the Perspective Day.

The jUCÖT was founded in April 2021. All student and young members of the Division are automatically members of this youth organization of the Division. The jUCÖT meets at regular intervals to exchange information and to organize events. If you are interested in actively participating in the jUCÖT, please send an email to: jucoet@go.gdch.de

JUF 2022 on September 5th, 2022 in Emden

This year, the Young environmental chemistry Forum (JUF) will take place on September 5, 2022 in Emden in the run-up to "Environment 2022" - and thus again in presence. Further information on registration and the procedure for the JUF will soon be available here.

Short report from JUF on September 6, 2021

On September 6, 2021, the Young environmental chemistry Forum (JUF) took place online for the first time and was led by the youth organization of the Division, the Young environmental chemistry & Ecotoxicology (jUCÖT), which was founded in April of this year. The JUF was introduced by an exciting lecture on the topic "Biocides in breams, DIY stores and authorities - interaction between research, political advice and implementation" by Stefanie Wieck from the Federal Environment Agency in Dessau-Roßlau. Afterwards, seven young scientists and young professionals presented their research on the topics of transformation processes, instrumental and effect-related analytics and nanotechnology/nanoparticles. In the virtual audience there were also curious young scientists and students without their own lecture, who took the opportunity to get a taste of the conference and ask questions. After each lecture there was a lively discussion and question and answer session among the 15 participants.
