The working group currently comprises 14 active and 20 corresponding members. The working group is open to members from the following areas:

     

  • Private and contract laboratories
  • State investigation institutions
  • Federal agencies
  • Manufacturer
  • Universities


Tasks and goals of the working group

     

  • Ensuring the quality and correctness of element determinations
    Processing of analytical questions, for example in food, feed and environmental samples
  • Processing of analytical questions
  • Development of tried and tested methods for the determination of elements and traces of elements in food, biological samples, consumer goods and cosmetic products
  • Development of procedures for the determination of elements with multi-element techniques
  • Development of procedures for the determination of element species
  • Elaboration of statements and processing of legal questions in the field of element analysis
  • Organization and implementation of training events
    Workshops on current topics in elemental analysis
  • Cooperation with national and international expert committees (DIN, CEN)
  • Cooperation with § 64-LFGB working groups
